Cognition & Co is looking for a Curriculum Developer to join our team.
As part of our mission to help Psychology Students develop and grow within the field, as well as to create employment opportunities, Cognition & Co is looking to hire a Curriculum Developer to assist in the creation of learning materials. We are looking to create a basic conversational course in Xhosa for young university students; equivalent to approximately an NQF level 5 or 6.
Details:
This position is a short-term contract role available to individuals in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The duration of the contract is dependent on the time required to create the appropriate materials. Future opportunities to teach the curriculum will also be available should the teacher be interested. The candidate would be able to work from home for 90% of the duration, but should be available to record vocabulary and dialogues on site in Port Elizabeth.
Curriculum:
The candidate will be expected to create the curriculum for the 4 unit course, starting with basic vocabulary and expanding into basic conversational language and dialogues. The final unit is focused on Psychology vocabulary and conversation in isiXhosa, and therefore a basic understanding of Psychology would be beneficial.
Requirements:
- 2+ years Curriculum Development experience.
- isiXhosa Home Language or equivalent.
- BA in Psychology & PGCE or,
B.Ed with Psychology as a 1st year subject. - SACE Registered Teacher (Preferably).
