Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and various stages of Lockdown, we are uncertain as to when we would be able to host these sessions in person. Our initial aim was to replicate the group interview environment and allow students the opportunity to feel what it is like to be in a group interview. In addition to this, we wanted to give real-time feedback to the students as well as confidence building tips.

With everything that is going on, we’ve decided to move these sessions online. This is a precaution to keep you safe and limit your expose to other individuals. In order to make it work online, we have to make a couple of changes to the structure of the sessions. Initially we wanted 12 students per group but we’re now going to limit that to 6 per group in order to give appropriate feedback. Due to the changes in date and structure, we have will be having two sessions a day and you can choose either a morning or afternoon session. With no need to stop for lunch, we’ve condensed the sessions slightly too.

Every year, thousands of Psychology students apply for coursework masters programmes around South Africa. Many of these students will be invited to interview at different universities around the country and Cognition & Co would like to help you prepare for this. With the help of 4 Psychologists, we have created 8 preparation sessions to help students get ready for the Group Interview aspect of Masters Selections.

While we wanted these sessions to be done in person, we believe that preparing students online is the best course of action considering the Global Pandemic and various stages of Lockdown.

These preparation sessions will replicate aspects of Group Interviews done at universities around South Africa, were students are encouraged to get involved and learn new skills as they do. During each session, our Psychologist hosts will give basic feedback about the process and provide insight from their experience.

Please note that spaces for these events are limited in order to provide group feedback throughout. Also make sure you purchase your tickets for the correct date and speaker, these can be found below.

Purchasing a ticket will get you entry to that specific event, not the entire series.
