EVENT INFORMATION:

Cognition & Co understands that the journey to becoming a Psychologist is not always as linear as it might seem. Due to the ethical nature of the profession; training is rigorous, selections are arduous, and applications can be tedious. The journey is so often clouded in mystery and fraught with rumors; but Cognition & Co is here to provide some clarity and help the Psychology students of South Africa get themselves prepared for the road ahead of them.

Every year we host a massive online webinar for Psychology students where we invite a number of Psychologists to share their professional insight and understanding, to help inspire and motivate the students as they make their way into Selection Season. While there is a focus on the Masters application and interview processes, this conference is designed to provide insight to all students, at all levels of studying.

This event is not aimed to prepare students for a specific university or selection process; it has been created as a means to assist students in the initial stages of networking with professionals, and help unlock the reflective thinking processes that will help students understand who they are as they begin their journey.

AUDIENCE:

All students and professionals are welcome; while the Masters Preparation Session is focused on Masters applications and selections, it is not limited to only Masters applicants. If you are an Undergraduate or Honours Psychology student interested to know more about the route to becoming a Psychologist, then this event will definitely help you gain a deeper understanding of the process.

2023 EVENT:

In the past, Cognition & Co has run the Masters Preparation Session as a Live Event and then made the recording available On Demand for a certain time after the event. This will not be the case in 2023; due to the struggles we are all facing with loadshedding, we are unable to guarantee an uninterrupted live event in 2023, and have decided that the event will be prerecorded and be made available On Demand for 6 months follow the initial launch date.

The recording will be available to be streamed online, giving students the opportunity to watch the recording as many times as they would like during that 6 month period of availability. The recording will be available from the 2nd of April 2023.
