Unfortunately we had a limited number of mentor applications and almost triple as many mentee applications. This being said, we still don’t want to leave any mentee applicants in the dark. Cognition & Co has made a promise to help as many students as we possibly can, especially those trying to get into masters.
So here’s the deal…
We’re creating a Masters Peer Support Programme!
We ran out of mentors, but we have a lot of strong mentee candidates! We would like to pair all mentees that weren’t paired in the Masters Mentorship Programme with another mentee from the applicant pool, giving the two candidates some extra support and guidance going forward. Going through the interview process is not easy, especially if you’re alone or not surrounded by people that understand the process.
There are a number of benefits to a peer support relationship; increased levels of self-esteem, confidence and positive feelings towards the goal the pair are working towards.
We will also be opening the applications to another 20 potential masters students to join the Masters Peer Support Programme.
If you are interested in being a part of this initiative, please fill in the online application form by clicking here. If you have already applied for the Masters Mentorship Programme, you are already in our database and will automatically be considered.
