Being selected for an accredited Master’s program is South Africa is not an easy task. With hundreds of students applying each year and the number of available spaces per university limited to between 6 and 12 students, very few students will get the opportunity to progress to practicing psychologists. Unfortunately this is the reality of Psychology in South Africa. There are however other studying opportunities that individuals can participate in that will allow them to work in the field of Psychology and improve their qualifications, skills, and experience to better prepare them for Masters applications in years to come.
